Priyanka Shetty is a people’s person who has succeeded at transforming a personality trait into a thriving career. Over her 17 year innings in PR, she has set up and transformed three successful companies. She has led multi-member teams & handled clients across the finance, consumer, FMCG, auto, luxury, health, fintech & technology sectors. Priyanka understands what works for the media, what narrative to craft, and how this delivers to her client’s needs. And as co-founder of Prominent Communications Partners, she brings this & all her leadership, organizational and multi-tasking skills to the table. A media graduate with a Masters in Sociology, Priyanka began her journey in the communications industry with Hanmer & Partners . Next, at Crosshairs Communications, under the tutelage of the legendary ad guru Prahlad Kakar (who she still counts on as a mentor), Priyanka learned the value of speaking her mind, of working hard but also unwinding to recharge, and how growth is an eternal pursuit. Here, she developed into one of the finest practitioners of the craft of public relations. It gave her the confidence and appetite for risk to set up her own enterprise.As a 24-year-old, first-time entrepreneur, Priyanka and her business partner, took a leap of faith and set up Crisscross Communications. For the next seven years, they acquired clients across sectors and spread through the country. Following this incredibly flourishing time, Priyanka took the next step and founded Seven Communications. She was a new mother to twins and running her own enterprise, which is no mean feat. Within one year of operations, the company was acquired by Pitchfork Partners, Priyanka continued to head the PR vertical for half a decade, gaining valuable experience working with local & international brands, with a sector-agnostic outlook, putting together events, digital campaigns and more. On top of being a successful serial entrepreneur, Priyanka has worked on several community-focussed initiatives, with an eye on upskilling the next generation of PR professionals & entrepreneurs. She has been part of the visiting faculty at the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET). She also recently completed a Nutrition Science course from the prestigious Stanford University, California to focus attention on an often-neglected aspect of healthy living in the manic world of PR. Priyanka is also a dedicated mother to her twins Akira and Arohi.
