As someone who grew up with a strong dislike of programming, to becoming a programmer myself, my journey so far has been full of ups and downs! And it was during this journey that I learnt something unexpected about myself.I learnt why I truly like to code — the code I've written so far intends to solve real-world problems, a problem that I faced. And the ideal solution to any problem includes setting automating the process to run with minimal efforts in the future.This could be something as simple as a Python script to check a website for updates which sent notifications to my phone using Pushbullet API in case of updates (and then figuring out a way to run this script every time my computer started); to writing a web-scraper to download files from another webpage (this was shortly followed by another web-scraper that would also rename these files!), to creating a Telegram bot (and deploying it on Heroku), and a lot more!On completing my first project, the immense satisfaction I got from creating something real — something that could make someone's life easier — using nothing but code and my own efforts was the turning point of my life. From someone who had a dislike for programming, I became someone who spent every spare minute tinkering with code.Over the years I've taught myself Python and Go while building several applications of varying sizes and complexities on the side. At the same time, I've formally learnt C/C++ and Java (not to mention some C#).Outside of programming languages, some of the technologies I've worked with are;* Docker (and containers in general)* CI/CD pipelines (primarily Github and Gitlab)* Android/iOS App Development* AWS, GCP and Azure Cloud PlatformsI am obsessed with solving complex problems using software built with an emphasis on well-tested and scalable code!I'm looking to contribute to a team where I can add value while growing my limits!
