Project: Transport in Porous MediaGuide: Prof. Aditya Bandopadhyay• Modelled Eulerian simulations in C(Basilisk) to study transport of passive tracers in 2D correlated porous media.• Implemented adaptive grids to achieve reduced computation time while maintaining same level of accuracy as fixed grid methods. • Quantified mixing measures like scalar spreading length, dilution Index and elongation rates with post processing in MATLAB.• Compared results with existing statistical particle tracking methods and found them to be in good agreement showcasing the viability of Eulerian methods for transport simulations.
