Managed the IT Merger programme for the new institution, to merge and consolidate the legacy IT infrastructure and applications based on managements approved roadmap. Using a greenfield approach, a new domain (EDUNET) was created for the organisation, and external vendors were engaged to design and implement solutions based on best practise. The challenge was not the technology to move forward with, but integrating two disparate IT teams in different locations, to work cohesively to achieve the program objectives. As Senior Project Manager and key member of the installation team, responsibilities included establishing an installation project framework and managing the planning and installation of leading edge wireless sensor technology in car parks throughout NZ and Australia.The ability to concurrently manage multiple installations, site maintenance and improve/establish operational procedures was a key requirement of this role, together with managing customer and contractor relationships while ensuring compliance with OH&S. Site installations were predominantly night work, requiring being on-call 24/7 to resolve any issues and occasionally getting the “hands dirty” working with the team.Recently spent 3 months in London, providing project management and analysis skills for the installation of the company’s largest site globally - Westminster, London.
