🌐 RBC Investor & Treasury Services is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services for financial and other institutional investors worldwide.🔴 MY ROLEAs Associate Director of Business Transformation, my role was to fundamentally change the systems, processes, people and technology across a whole business, to achieve measurable improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and stakeholder satisfaction. 🔑 KEY ACHIEVEMENTS✔️Reduced the development request approval time from one month to one week through analysis and re-engineering of the existing process.✔️Undertook a review of budget controls around projects in order to increase transparency of charges. This resulted in a significant reduction in unapproved spending.✔️Developed a solution allowing reconciliation of enhancement budgets six weeks earlier than previously.✔️Led an initiative to move enhancement request process onto a workflow tool, with the aim of eliminating the high levels of manual intervention that currently exist.

🌐 RBC Capital Markets is a global investment bank providing services in banking, finance and capital markets to corporations, institutional investors, asset managers and governments globally.  🔴 MY ROLE As a business analyst, my role was to analyse the organisation and document the business processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology.  🔑KEY ACHIEVEMENTS  ✔️ Worked on a project to implement a global structure for the management and use of KRIs and KPIs.✔️ Responsible for providing subject matter expertise around KRI and KPI reporting.✔️ Produced framework document defining the governance around the use of key indicators.✔️ Created lifecycle process flows in the Nimbus Control application for all key indicator types.✔️ Liaised with end users and project stakeholders to collect and document functional requirements.✔️ Created Use Cases based on the functional requirements collected.

🌐 Penson Financial Services Ltd (PFSL), the UK based clearing services subsidiary which provided a broad range of execution, settlement, clearing and custody services to market makers, broker-dealers and private client wealth managers 🔴 MY ROLE As an operational risk consultant, my role was to provide advice on insurance, claims management, loss prevention and project advisory. 🔑 KEY ACHIEVEMENTS  ✔️ Given responsibility for establishing a full Operational Risk framework across the business.✔️ Defined and implemented the Operational Risk Register and the appropriate support to underpin this.✔️ Responsible for defining and implementing Key Control, Risk and Performance Indicators.✔️ Redefined roles of Operational Risk Team in order to maximize the impact of the new framework.✔️ Provided subject matter expertise to drive the successful resolution of existing operational risk issues.

🔴 MY ROLE  As Head of Operations, I was responsible for all teams within the Operations area (settlements, reconciliations, cash management and corporate actions). Defined and delivered operational strategy ensuring that it was in line with company and market initiatives. 🔑KEY ACHIEVEMENTS  ✔️Led a team of thirty people covering Settlements, Corporate Actions, Cash Management, Margining and Reconciliations.✔️Restructured the Operations area from both a hierarchical and structural perspective resulting in an improved service to clients.✔️Established strong links with clients, enabling swifter resolution of issues as well as improving the perception of the service provided.

🔴 MY ROLE  As Head of Pre-Settlements, I was responsible for the day-to-day running of the trade capture and settlements areas. Provided an escalation point for both internal and external issues.

🔴MY ROLE As Team Leader, my role was to set-up operational controls systems from scratch and established reporting across all levels of the London office. I would conduct regular control meetings to ensure issues were being addressed and escalated all relevant issues to Head of Operations.  🔑KEY ACHIEVEMENTS  ✔️Designed and implemented an internal MIS and control structure around Operations, resulting in demonstrably improved performance around reconciliations and failed trades.✔️Significantly reduced the level of Crest fines imposed on the company through process review and subsequent re-engineering.

Team was responsible for the production of MIS around the Equities Middle Office trade flow.
