I am a passionate expert in optical and laser physics with over 30 years experience. Special interests include developing new lasers spanning the infrared to the ultraviolet, astronomical instrumentation, and beam delivery by optical fibres.I am a past Director of the MQ Photonics Research Centre, with a strong track record of partnering with industry to provide solutions to real world problems. In my role of Associate Dean, Research, I work across the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Macquarie University to provide strategic and operational leadership in research.
