About Prof. Dr. Mark Scheper (Pt, Phd)
I am a clinical physical therapist and movement scientist. Currently i work in both Rotterdam (NLD) and Sydney (AUS). In 2019 I completed my PhD thesis entitled: "Hypermobility Syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos: unravelling disability during childhood". Completed two postdocs in the area of rare and chronic diseases in children and youth with a special focus on data-science and Artificial intelligence. In the last years I specialised as a data-scientist and founded my research group dedicated to the responsible development and use of AI. Although active in all fields in healthcare a special focus remains on youth and Rare diseases. Also active as clinical specialist in the National Center for Ehlers-danlos and the quality council of the Royal Society of Physical Therapy
