I am a dynamic leader with a proven track record in both academia and industry, driving innovation and excellence at the intersection of science, technology and medicine. As Centre Director at the University of Birmingham and Co-Founder and Managing Director of Neuronostics Ltd, I bring a unique blend of academic rigour and entrepreneurial enterprise.My personal research seeks to understand the complexities of biological systems, particularly in neuroscience and endocrinology. Key to our success is a robust engagement with stakeholders, including experimental scientists, clinicians, industry partners, and the public, ensuring our research is both impactful and relevant.As Managing Director of Neuronostics Ltd, I am strategic lead for the company, overseeing the development and commercialization of cutting-edge clinical decision support systems and at-home monitoring tools for neurological conditions. Based in Bristol and part of the world leading SetSquared community, Neuronostics has gained regional, national, and international recognition, including awards from Medilink UK and the Nature SpinOff Prize. I have personally ensured the financial stability of the company, securing over £2.5M in non-dilutive funding and £2.2M in equity investment, positioning Neuronostics strongly for future success. I currently hold a prestigious £2M EPSRC Established Career Fellowship and was the recent recipient of TechSpark Founder of the Year in 2024. Prior to my current roles, I held senior leadership positions at the University of Exeter, where I successfully built and led a team of 40 faculty members, researchers, and PhD students, securing over £15M in research funding to deliver impactful research outcomes in biomedical and clinical research.
