• Current projects include de-installation/re-installation and qualification of test equipment moving to offshore facilities.• Performing inspection and factory acceptance on new and used test equipment the company has purchased and coordinating their move to offshore facilities. • Develop and support Test programs on various ATE testing platforms to ensure the product meets designed specifications. Some of the tester platforms include Teradyne Flex, LTX Fusion HFi, Credence STS 3500, Unix based programming, and using Visual Basic to automate the controls of measuring in rack mounted equipment.• Design, rebuild, and troubleshoot down to component level on test cards and equipment used to test Semtech's IC's.• Support for NPI volume ramp up into production at offshore facilities.• Support for Product Engineers by investigating production Non-conformances, QA rejects and customer returns.

• Receiving OEM training on maintenance and operations of equipment, writing operation and PM procedures for operators and technicians, training internal personnel, pre-production safety reports, and qualify equipment for running production.• Equipment maintenance for the Production Test Department involving troubleshooting, repairs, diagnostics, and PM's of both electrical and mechanical systems that handle and test various IC packages types as well as silicon wafers. • This equipment includes pick and place machines, gravity feed handlers, vision inspection systems for IC packages, wafer probers, and Automated Testing Equipment (ATE). • As part of this position required to enter report logs of equipment breakdowns/repairs, PM's and setups for changing over to different products.• "On-call" responsibilities for equipment issues that occur on off-shifts.

• Operator of process and equipment monitoring, programming of process “recipes” in equipment, testing product, and some trouble shooting of equipment for the Thin Film process of silicon wafers used in Gennum's Hybrid IC's for hearing aids and wireless communications headsets. These processes include Diffusion, Ion implant, Silicon Nitride deposition, Metal Deposition, Spin on Glass, Photolithography, Wet and Dry etching• This position involved a lot of interaction with Engineers as well as Equipment Technicians for running the equipment according to process specifications.
