Resilient Nation is dedicated to empowering the Hispanic and immigrant communities. Equip and empower disenfranchised and immigrant communities to develop resilience. Resilient Nation, provides. services, support for physical and mental health needs, role-model leadership, connect individuals with resources and opportunities, to reimagine their future and challenge learned helplessness and previous negative experiences. Resilient Nation assists neighbors, government, non-profits, and the public in general in promoting equity, engaging, and providing services to all community members without exception.After 20 years of working in the community and assisting families in the justice, educational, and legal systems, I decided to open my nonprofit as the immigrant experience is unique. I understand how important it is to create spaces of connection, validation, support, acceptance, honesty, growth, and openness and I founded Resilient Nation as 501c3. The goal is to assist individuals, families, and communities in developing resilience.

Provide leadership in systemic equity and develops an environment of openness and understanding.Plan, guide, and support teams with topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Community Outreach for the Hispanic Community. As the Director for the Hispanic Community, I develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with community leaders. Similarly, I advocate, educate, train, research and resolve problems with Hispanic families at risk. Other responsibilities relate to serving as a liaison for families providing leadership, connecting resources and maximizing successful outcomes.

As an Immigration Case Manager, I had a unique opportunity to use my background in social work and combine it with the needs to serve the US Homeland Security Department. I management, developed, implemented, and coordinated case management and individual service plans for ISAP Program Participants. I conducted intake interviews, trained participants, and case noted information following the highest confidential and ethical standards. Similarly, I monitored compliance, addressed issues, implemented improvement plans, and connected participants with community resources.

Performed Human Resources task. Collected data, studied 10-year exit interviews, and presented findings to the City Manager to develop a talent retention strategy. Studied job descriptions, salary levels, identified and addressed discrepancies.

Translated and interpreted information for Spanish speaking clients. Followed guidelines helping patients and their families to successfully communicate their needs, understand suggestions, and ask questions.

Identified opportunities, managed social media and community calendar. Translated brochure and connected QENO (Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations) with the Hispanic community.
