As the Director and Chair of the Rob and Melani Walton Sustainability Solutions Service (RMWSSS) at Arizona State University (ASU), I lead a team of interdisciplinary experts who collaborate with diverse stakeholders to create and implement lucrative, innovative solutions for the planet's pressing sustainability challenges. I bring over 30+ years of experience in global energy, finance, and sustainability matters, and am a member of the Club of Rome--a prestigious network of global thinkers and leaders.I am also a serial organization builder and leader in for-profit, non-profit, and governmental realms. I sit on the boards of several renewable energy and impact finance companies, such as Clean Vision, IberSun North America, and Around the Corner Capital. I co-founded several non-profit organizations, such as the Center for Environmental Health and the Sunrise Movement; and serve on the board of others, like the Michigan Environmental Council. I have received numerous honors and awards, including the Rotary International Paul Harris Medal for Distinguished Service to Humanity and the National Journal recognition as one of 200 national “energy and environment expert insiders”. My mission is to leverage my expertise, vast networks, and insights to scale sustainability solutions, justly across the planet.
