Conduct airborne law enforcement missions to include airborne surveillance, airborne SWAT operations, counter narcotics and other missions as required to serve local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Respond to any request to conduct aerial missions in support of the Chatham Emergency Management Agency. Perform airborne fire-fighting with water drops utilizing a BAMBI bucket system. Conduct search and rescue missions to include water rescue team insertion/recovery. Fly low level surveillance missions with numerous landings in hazardous environments. During emergencies and disasters work as part of the counties disaster response performing aerial search and rescue, damage assessments as well as perform other aerial as required. In addition to aerial provide ground based missions and assistance as needed in support of the disaster response. Perform any other missions as required in accordance with the counties public use certificate. Conduct minor repairs and inspections on the county helicopters and provide assistance in maintenance operations as needed.
