Set up and structure cloud-based system, including implementation of all Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), SQL-scripting and general back-end development and support, and client-side code development and testing for GIS-based applications. Set up and configure ArcGIS for Server and software stack in an agile and versatile testing environment to include deployment using multiple SQL engines on the bottom tier (i.e., PostGRES, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle). Develop, test, and deploy interactive reporting system and accompanying analytical tool set, which includes client side builds with both Flex API, and Javascript API, with customized server extensions. Migrate workstation geoprocessing tools written in local scientific languages and associated libraries (i.e., R, Python, Vba), to web enabled client-server environment.

Develop and maintain geospatial database and work in a key support position for the project geologist. Maintain and update underlying geologic framework in the 3D modeling platform Leapfrog and develop a 3D depiction of groundwater and vadose zone contaminant plumes. Provide ongoing support for the groundwater modeling team, developing aquifer parameterization and zonation for numerical groundwater model, borehole intervals, and file management. Provide complete GIS support, with query and geostatistical capability

Compile and assess all technical components of Hanford site wide MODFLOW model. Write, assess, and qualify model input files, and outputs. Ascertain and review critical data such as recharge, pumping, and others using a myriad of custom analytical tools and approaches, write and QAQC outputs (i.e., *.dis, *.riv,*.mnw2). Develop and program customized GIS and numerical tools to migrate and assimilate data into optimal format, such as writing a program to act as a low pass filter for water levels measured on 15 minute intervals over 20 years. Develop geological framework, and create customized GIS scripts for exporting arrays in MODFLOW style format. The specific tools used for this project include, but are not limited to MODFLOW 2000, MODFLOW 2005, PEST, QGIS, ArcGIS, Python, GDAL, R, Excel, VBA, SAS, Matlab and Leapfrog Hydro.
