I have more than 30 years’ experience in the chartered accounting profession, advising clients on a wide range of transaction types and accounting disciplines, particularly within the public sector. I am the national lead partner of the firm’s Government and public sector practice, combining my experience and insights from working with all levels of Government and Government owned agencies.My areas of specific expertise include preparing IFRS based financial statements, developing policies and procedures for State owned entities, establishing accounting systems and corporate governance advisory for public sector entities, and providing taxation advice under the National Tax Equivalent Regime (NTER) to State owned water entities.Using a relationship driven approach, I have developed specialised expertise in the delivery of accounting and advisory services to special purpose Government owned entities as part of the South East Queensland Water Strategy. Such entities include South East Queensland (Gold Coast) Desalination Company Pty Ltd, Queensland Infrastructure Pty Ltd, Queensland Manufactured Water Authority, Western Corridor Recycled Water Pty Ltd, and Southern Regional Water Pipeline Company Pty Ltd.
