I am also providing ongoing freelance strategic comms support to The Hospice of St Francis, Stepping Out With Carers and The Mothers' Union.

I ran the Brand & Comms team for this busy Hospice alongside my job share partner with my focus being on brand cohesion and development and promoting the organisational strategy aligned to charity’s business objectives.I devised creative campaigns using compelling content and inspiring imagery across all platforms to communicate our ‘Your Precious Life’ vision which helped raise the £5m annual income requirement. My team continually punched above our weight securing impactful media coverage in national media including Sky News, BBC London, Channel 4 and 5, with a highlight of a feature in The Sunday Times magazine.Working closely with, and reporting directly to, the CEO, I held accountability for the Hospice’s website, the annual report, regular newsletters, messaging, marketing materials, supporter digital communications, appeal content, case studies, social media channels and media coverage to promote the Hospice’s work, fundraising events and to reach beneficiaries. My team also ran internal comms for 200 staff & 1,500 volunteers.

I was accountable for running all aspects of the consumer PR business including new business strategy, financial planning and results, relationship management and personnel matters. Achievements included increasing client numbers and revenue stream and devising and writing the consumer strategy and credentials. Clients included: Lavazza, Spontex, Guylian, The Serious Food Company, Royal Hospital ChelseaI oversaw strategic and creative PR campaigns that reached clients’ target audiences driving awareness and sales as appropriate. I focused on ensuring my team generated strong editorial led coverage for clients with leveraged promotional support activity. My role also included managing client recall issues and monitoring topical news stories, recommending proactive responses to maximise coverage opportunities.
