Working in the IT industry for over 20 years, I have come in to contact with a broad array of different technologies, large & small companies and simple/complex setups over the years. This gives me an excellent insight into technical requirements from the initial user through IT implementation.Currently working in several different schools as their on-site technical support which involves basic right up to complex infrastructure and support needs.Previous Experience - • Helpdesk work involving remote assistance and troubleshooting, with the included pressure to complete jobs or get first-time-fixes over the phone.• IT Support handling hundreds of internal clients and thousands of customers at my previous employers. This included several years of experience running and serving on the IT helpdesk, learning technical processes and managing tight schedules. As such I have an extensive and in-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, printers & Microsoft office apps. These positions gave me a huge variety of technical knowledge.• Managing the technical side of several large projects including data conversion. This included entry into the company until the finished product.• Handling the IT infrastructure of the Fiche & Film department and liaising with management and customers as to the companies capabilities. Changing the technical processes involved for greater efficiency.• Day-to-day operation (including tight deadlines) of OCR software within the company (including Eyes & Hands Forms). Completed Several presentations to management and customers, as well as setting up the software for constantly changing demands.• Several On-Call jobs which required contact with customers & employees on a out-of-hours basis.• Editing & managing SQL databases and server infrastructure.• IT Support & Infrastructure. Managing several employees in different departments. Experience with tight deadlines and learning how best to approach bodies of work.Specialties: My main skill is working with computers and learning software. I have had extensive troubleshooting experience from both my ad-hoc work for friends & family at home, as well as my last few employers.Cutting through the technical jargon is also a skill I have developed extensively =)
