Currently I have been working with Tableau, Power BI and DataZen.I assisted with the implementation of the Power BI Enterprise gateway. I then worked thru the conversion existing Tableau dashboards to Power BI. I documented to Microsoft the gaps found between the products.Completed a pilot testing out Data Mining to determine ways we could utilize the tool to assist with student retention and potentially sales.

Resolve issues in an issue tracking system.Reviewed issues in queue to determine where multiple issues could be handled by a single process and developed the processes to resolve the issues involved. Created new reports based on specifications supplied. Worked with a variety of staff to determine best means of resolving issues.Developed 2 SSIS packages to handle data migration needs for the finance department. One provided requested data to the billing team to better resolve questions they encountered. One automated a daily import from a third party of billing data required for most finance reports.Created a process to allow the Sales Support team to schedule any of over 25 separate reports for either account or physician to be delivered on the schedule of the recipients request. This was all handled thru a report under Report manager. This freed the Sales Support team from generating and delivering the reports as requested by clients.Created a series of complicated reports in SSRS utilizing MySQL as the data back end. This required some complex techniques on both the data and the SSRS side.Upgraded 311 reports from 2005 to 2008 R2. Many of these involved converting inline SQL queries to stored procedures to bring the reports to best practices.

IDEAL Software dba REPS Software was purchased in May, 2007 by Logibec of Canada. They have merged our group with other purchases forming MDI Achieve.• Designed and developed the product’s first Business Intelligence solution. This included the design and creation of the data mart using SSIS and multiple cubes using SSAS. The more complex of the cubes had in excess of 60 calculated measures.• Responsible for upgrading from SQL 2000 to 2005.• Developed and deployed a data driven, web based report engine. Simple listings only require the population of tables. More complex reports utilize XML/XSL transformations. Allows users to generate custom report listings on the fly. Self-hosted clients were trained to develop their own reports utilizing this report engine. The engine was expanded recently to accommodate Reporting Services reports.• Created and maintained stored procedures, functions, triggers and views as needed to support application and reports.• Architected database design changes as new modules were added to the application.• Developed a process to manage changes to databases to be implemented on client’s data during upgrades without benefit of third party SQL tools.• Resolved client issues regarding speed or accuracy - making required modifications as needed or providing supporting documentation when changes were not required.• Responsible for ongoing performance tuning of application.• Managed the custom work process. StarTech was a division of Insurance Software Packages (ISP) that was sold by CCN prior to CCN being purchased by Columbia. We created software for mostly small service brokers and self insured employers to track Workers' Comp benefits. • Developed and deployed a data driven rule engine for Medical Bill Review. A non-programmer was able to implement ten state schedules in less than five months by populating data fields with conditional statements. This reduced time per schedule from an average of 3 months to 3 weeks.• Developed and deployed a medical bill review user interface for collection of both HCFA-1500 and UB-92 billing information.• Developed the application of Focus PPO contracts to medical bills.• Developed an EDI interface to adjudicate medical bill information with no user interaction according to the OH fee schedule and rules in partnership with SACIII. On current data, there was less than 2% deviation from the pricing manually performed by the state bureau.• Managed project time lines and staff of six developers.Technology: Visual FoxPro and FoxPro 2.6.

• Implemented 12 state schedules. This included the complete PA Workers' Comp schedule for both outpatient providers and facilities. The user interface allowed for aggressive lookups into the outpatient hospital charge master which resulted in larger savings.• Implemented MedView and OUCH-PPO contracts as an automated part of the repricing process. This included automated billing on the behalf of the PPO Network.• Maintained and restructured reporting to empower the clients to identify sources of over utilization and other forms of abuse.• Implemented numerous state reports to maintain compliance for our users.• Developed a utilization review tool that allowed the user to define parameters to be monitored. Alerts would be, issued when the parameters were exceeded.• Implemented state EDI package within bill review. This involved forcing collection and validation of data required for the transfer as well as translation of our data into the state defined layouts.Technology used: Visual FoxPro, FoxPro 2.6 DOS, FoxBase.

• Developed an adjuster diary system that assisted in the maintenance of claimant files. Alerts for state reports were issued based on events and dates for each claim.• Implemented a means of automating the FL DWC-13. This minimized fines imposed as a result of errors made when processing by hand.• Acted as the liaison between, the MIS department and the newly formed cost containment division. This required learning FoxBase and developing the tools that were not supplied with the bill review package being utilized.• Responsible for monitoring of data to identify abuse by adjusters and providers. • Completed water utility management systems for both privately and publicly held utilities.• Sped up the system to minimize time required. Initially, 250 man hours were required to generate bills and post payments for 1500 accounts monthly.
