My passion is to make sense out of chaos.Over the past 20+ years, I have worked in a variety of tech management roles, the last 15 in the tech marketing industry. However, during the last 4+ years, my primary focus has been in Digital Event Production, specifically the aspect of Virtual Production.Digital Event Production is a combination of traditional Digital Production (long ago, referred to as IT Project Management) and Virtual Production. Under the role of Virtual Producer, I work with core team leads to understand deliverables, dependencies, and the intricacies between Live Production, Broadcast Production, Video Services, and Platform Systems. I run the master plan for the digital program and verify all readiness plans; track and manage primary and contingency plans; oversee the event day broadcast and lead command center operations.My current role of Virtual Producer grew out of necessity for one particular client and it expanded to additional clients over the years. However, as one can imagine, my experience and influence became a critical role in 2020—for all of our clients at GPJ as well as the entire Events Industry. I was very fortunate to have been offered a groundbreaking Virtual Producer position 4+ years ago. Developing an intimate understanding of Live & Broadcast Production, as well as Video Cloud Services and Platforms in the marketplace, has been a major silver lining for me this past year. Though my strong project management skill set—paired with the amount of time I've spent in the industry—provides me with enormous experience in Digital Event Production, I always carry with me a willingness to learn. I believe my growth mindset is a big part of my success and overall expertise. And there is no looking back. Whether you call it Virtual, Online, Digital, or simply a Broadcast Event, omnichannel content strategies have become a lifeline for the event industry—and we've only just begun. Even when in-person events return, there will always be a component of a remote audience. This industry, and my area of expertise, is forever evolving—and I am here for it; ready to lead, educate, experience, and learn.
