User Project Oversight:•Oversees all client interactions for internal and external clients seeking access, support, and information on facilities, equipment, and expertise of the RTNN. Clients include students, teachers, researchers, and business people from middle schools, high schools, community colleges, universities, industry, and the government•Assigns technical projects to staff members for execution and manages project to completion•Works across multiple organizational units to create and execute contractual agreements with external clients for materials fabrication and characterization servicesCommunication: •Communicates with stakeholders on behalf of the RTNN, including dissemination of information, soliciting feedback and input, and scheduling and organizing advisory board meetings•Develops communications and marketing materials that include both detailed scientific and technical information for all audiencesEducation and Workforce Training: •Creates, plans, and coordinates workforce training and workshop and RTNN conferences•Plans and coordinates new and existing outreach activities, or integrates into other programs•Facilitates marketing and implementation of formal coursework including the RTNN MOOC on Coursera•Coordinates the engagement of undergraduate students in internships, assistantships, and summer programsProgram Management •Records data and other information about the RTNN to evaluate and make appropriate decisions and recommendations •Implements data collection strategies for user assessment including diverse media and interacting with diverse stakeholders in collection of the data•Provides other administrative tasks as necessary in support of projects and the RTNN•Writes proposals to support nanotechnology research activities

Development includes trialing processes, characterization, designing SOPs, and producing technical information to be used for marketing purposes.Experienced operator of various instruments within the Analytical Instrumentation Facility @ N.C. State primarily in nanoindentation, as well as microscopy (SEM/AFM), and optical profilometry.

Identified new product opportunities for a specialty fiber that a major chemical company develops and manufactures.Gathered and analyzed market and technical information through a variety of industry, trade, and market publications necessary to assess the opportunities identified.
