Her career has seen her in a multitude of roles and settings, including academic medical centers, VAs, university clinics, community mental health clinics, IOP/PHP/Residential programs, and the private sector. Her expertise extends to clinical research, clinical supervision, practice management, teaching, and evidence-based psychotherapies (EBPs). Dr. Jakob's has worked with populations across the lifespan, ranging from preschool-aged to the elderly. She is an expert in anxiety & mood disorders, PTSD (Prolonged Exposure Therapy), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
