Bachelor Thesis - Improve The Assembly Of The American Alligator GenomeVnuhcm - University Of Science Jun 2015 - Jun 2016Use the American alligator genome to scaffold the assemblies of two other crocodilians, the saltwater crocodile C. porosus and the gharial G. gangeticus. Used Ragout (Kolmogorov et. al. 2014) to align and find the synteny blocks shared between those crocodilians. This work helped to increase the scaffold N50 of the saltwater crocodile genome assembly from 205 kb to 84 Mb and the gharial genome assembly from 128 kb to 96 Mb. Methods and experimental results are shown in the publication Rice et. al. 2017
