I have prepared summary judgment, discovery, pre-trial, and post-trial motions and expert reports. While at KVP I participated in LCLD as a pathfinder, I attended the CCWC conference, and I continue to be a member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America and the Asian American Bar Association.

I also served as one of two main associates on a multimillion dollar complex commercial litigation in defense of a Fortune 500 company. I participated substantially in trial preparation, including drafting cross examination outlines and motions in limine, assisting with the order of proof, participating in litigation strategy sessions, and coordinating with local counsel. I also drafted a portion of our summary judgment brief, created demonstratives for the summary judgment hearing, second chaired depositions, drafted fact witness and expert witness deposition outlines, prepared exhibits for depositions, drafted portions of the mediation brief, participated in the mediation, and oversaw voluminous document productions. Additionally, I have assisted with DOJ investigations and other pre-indictment work and SEC subpoenas.I represented a pro bono client by drafting the complete submission to the immigration court, preparing the witnesses, and conducting my client's individual merits hearing in immigration court. Intake Specialist
Fort Wayne Metro is a Fair Employment Practices Agency on a work-share agreement with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Commission works to enforce Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, various other federal statues, and Fort Wayne Ordinance G-21-78. I assisted complainants who sought to file a charge of discrimination against their place of employment, public accommodation, or school by explaining the investigation, mediation, and public hearing phases of the administrative process. My primary role was to assist complainants by sorting through their idea of wrongful termination and applying it to the context of the law during the intake session. In order to do so, I questioned complainants about similarly situated employees, statements that were made by their employer during the course of their employment, adverse employment actions taken against them, and their protect class status. I then used information to formulate the Charge of Discrimination.Note that I did not work for a continuous period of time but during breaks from school
Ethics Intern
I worked with the AMA Ethics Department and Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs as an assistant to the staff attorney. I conducted research on palliative care and newborn screening ethics in order to assist the AMA in devising recommended national standards for these medical issues. The policy has become part of the American Medical Association's Code of Ethics. I also worked with the International Medicine Department to draft a report on the medical crisis in Sri Lanka and Darfur by examining the role of the United Nations Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court and analyzing the degree of social responsibility towards public health demanded of physicians in the context of their role as healers. Finally, I examined avenues of petition with the World Medical Association, World Health Organization, and US State Department regarding the detention without trial for physicians in Sri Lanka.
