About Purnima Singh
With over 5 years of research and work experience in molecular biology and bioprocessing, I currently work at Catalent Pharma Solutions (CDMO) in the Downstream Processing - Manufacturing Sciences and Technology group (MS&T). During my second master's at Keck Graduate Institute, I was Research Assistant for two projects; one where I focus on the assembly of light chain and heavy chain in E.coli and P.pastoris for generation of antibody library against SARS COVID antibody. Two, planning, organizing and running 50L bioreactor (scaling up of 50 million CHO cells with more than 93% viability) in fed-batch mode for Repligen Co-operation. My goal is to contribute to the development of novel biopharmaceutical products and processes that can improve human health and well-being.Previously, I worked as a Process Engineer and Researcher at KGI, Repligen Corporation and Boehringer Ingelheim, where I gained valuable experience in scaling up CHO cell culture in a 50L Bioreactor (Upstream Processing), purifying monoclonal antibodies, and optimizing protein purification methods specifically for Affinity Chromatography (Downstream Processing). I also have a strong background in plant and animal tissue culture along with algal transformation, CHO, and stem cell process development, which I acquired through my academic and industrial projects.
Listed skills include Molecular Biology, Microsoft Office, Management, Microsoft Word, and 12 others.
