About Tasha Williams

I am a freelance illustrator, designer, fine artist and creative entrepreneur based in Newark, New Jersey. After working in corporate settings for over two decades, I decided to start following my creative passions and have been a working artist since 2019. My artistic style is bright and colorful, and walks the line between classic comic books, cartoons and realism. Having grown up during the "Golden Age of Animation" also known as the 1990s, I am heavily influenced by classic Disney and Warner Brothers cartoons and movies, and a variety of animated films and shows.I specialize primarily in Black Women's illustration, plus sized fashion illustration, plus sized pinup illustrations, and Black children's illustration. As a Black Woman Artist, my aim is to showcase our unique beauty within ordinary situations, and by doing so, provide both respite and relatability. So because of that, my subject matter focuses primarily on the "slice of life" representation within the African American diaspora.As a creative with a corporate background, I am able to give clients an organized and streamlined experience with attention to detail, with constant communication from start to finish.
