Lex McArthur is a Project Manager at Scientific Research Corporation (SRC).After less than a year as an Assistant Project Manager contracted to install, test, and execute sea trials for C4I systems on 2 US Navy amphibious transport crafts (LPD 26 & 27), I was promoted to full Project Manager. In November 2017, I was given the opportunity to takeover a larger project on large deck amphibious Navy ships, LHA. This assignment marks the first time SRC has ever been contracted to install C4I systems on a large deck.While changing industries from US federal government Naval ship overhauls to private defense contracting was quite challenging, it undoubtedly resulted in the most growth I've experienced in my entire career. I can't wait to see what the next phases of my journey entail!

Project Manager - C4I New ConstructionScientific Research Corporation Jul 2015 - PresentNorth Charleston, South CarolinaAfter gaining significant experience as a federal employee for Norfolk Naval Shipyard, I changed industries to Defense Contracting (July 2015). I began supporting integration of C4I systems for new construction US Naval surface craft as an assistant Project Manager for LPDs, and became a Project Manager in less than a year. After successfully managing installation, testing, and sea trial tasking on LPD 26 and 27, I was given the opportunity to undertake new construction C4I installation on the LHA platform in November 2017. This project marks the first Large Deck C4I integration task that SRC has ever executed in its 30-year history.While the change of industry was quite challenging, it was a period of growth unprecedented in my career. I'm excited to see where the next chapter of the journey leads me.
