I am a 22 year old fresh graduate looking for a full-time job. I am particularly interested in working with children and working in the social or education sector. I have been working in the education and retail industries for three years now and I believe that it has taught me skills that would be beneficial in every job and every aspect of my life. In my current job, I am fortunate enough to assist special education teachers in Early Intervention Programmes which taught me a lot on classroom management and ways to handle and interact with children with special needs. In addition, as an administrator, it has also taught basic, but necessary, skills that ensure the clinic runs smoothly such as scheduling, handling clients, organization, filing and many more. My other experience as a teacher taught me skills in effective communication skills and delivery and also how to handle children (and even parents). I was also responsible for creating notes and worksheets which made me very familiar with the current Mathematics syllabus in Singapore. And lastly, working in retail has trained my customer service and communicative skills. Although this may not seem as important, I realized that being able to handle and communicate with people is relevant in every field. Thus, I'm proud to say that working in the customer service industry has taught me how to effectively communicate and handle people (even difficult people) and find solutions to satisfy everyone needs.
