Engineering Safety Instrumented System (Sis) Engineer
Current(Contractor for AMP Automation Modernization Program of Marathon Petroleum Corporation), with the following responsibilities:• Provide technical leadership for SIS and instrumentation • Responsible for assessing, designing, configuring, installing, and testing SIS systems to upgrade refinery heaters, boilers, compressors, and related equipment• Focus on Functional Safety and Safety Lifecycle requirements per ISA S84 and IEC 61508/61511 SIS standards• Develop and review SIF lists, SRSs, SIL calculations, cause-and-effect matrices, Functional Safety Plans, FAT procedures, integrated FAT (iFAT) procedures, and SAT procedures• Use Safety Lifecycle Tool (SLM) to document Safety Lifecycle information• Perform and document gap assessments by comparing current designs and configurations against SIS standards• Review engineering documents related to instrumentation and SIS configuration modifications, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment layout, cable routing, BPCS and SIS architectures, PLC program, and cabinet arrangements• Prepare specifications and plans• Follow the AMP Project Quality Assurance Process• Perform cost calculations and assist with compiling budget estimates
