The development of an object detection model that detects tyre stacks from a pallet and sends the information to a robot involves several steps and technologies.Firstly, depth cameras are connected to ROS for capturing data from the environment. This data is recorded as rosbags, which can be later transformed into video and individual frames for training the object detection model.Next, image annotation is done using a tool like labelImg to mark the location and boundaries of the tyre stacks in each frame. This annotated data is used to train the object detection model, which uses YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm for detecting the tyre stacks in each frame.Overall, this project requires a combination of technical skills in programming, computer vision, and 3D modeling, as well as a deep understanding of the principles and algorithms involved in each of these areas.

This project required me to gain a deep understanding of the CodeRunner plugin and its functionalities, my responsibilities extended well beyond simply mastering its technical aspects. I was also responsible for and developing programming exercises that were effective in enhancing learners' skills and knowledge in Python programming.
