Major Achievements:- Worked on the BigCommerce SAAS E-Commerce platform on various features and component supporting more than 55,000 online stores worldwide- Worked on a massive re-platforming project, decoupling stores from bound servers to allow load balancing in a multi tenant environment.- Converted application from using local file storage to OpenStack object storage (swift).- Integrated stores to use CDN for serving their assets.- Integrated ElasticSearch into the application for full text search & indexing to move away from MySQL.- Implementation of various long running task in a background processing system through Resque- Developed various API infrastructure and services that allows third party developers to interact with stores in the platform. Major additions includes Orders API and Webhooks.- Pioneered a new implementation of the API via OAuth2. Deputy is a start-up company developing a web based business management system tailored for medium to large businesses. The software thrives to provide an online centralized complete business management solution; including human resources management, logistics, task management, reporting, etc.The main task of the role was to design and implement various modules for the web based business management system in PHP on top of a MySQL data-store with heavy use of AJAX in the front-end.
