I believe that both 'working hard' and 'working smart' are essential for achieving a goal. People must work hard to build experiences and knowledge of the work process, which will provide the input for analytical reasoning to work smart.I was born in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China; Zhenjiang is the same city where the author of The Good Earth, Pearl S. Buck was born and raised. The Good Earth describes the hardship of Wang Lung’s family, who overcame great adversity with hard work and determination. I take inspiration from this story and have overcome my own challenges in coming to this country. I graduated from the Kelley School of Business and am fortunate to have completed my MBA Program at the same school. I am currently working at The Annex Group. I spent over a decade at Valch Investment Ltd. in Shenzhen, China, one of the rapidly growing economic cities in the world. In line with the company's market strategy, I established a new division to market a new brand. I found myself excelling in the high-pressure, high-demand work environment.I worked as an Asset Manager at Merchants Capital, a financing provider for new construction multifamily, affordable, and senior housing. Merchants' Capital leadership holds very high expectations to deliver exceptional results. At Merchants, we are in high-demand and challenging environments. I have collaborated with the Asset Management Team to monitor the performance of a portfolio with sixty (60+) loans and adopted new software for improving the borrower's financials report analysis process.I recently began my career at The Annex Group as an Asset Manager. The Annex Group is a leading impact housing developer that creates affordable workforce and student housing communities. With the valuable experience I gained from my previous employer and my passion for servicing the communities, I am confident that I can contribute my knowledge to my new position and further expand my expertise in my new career.
