Research Scientist
Current- Develop and maintain custom toolboxes in Python (pyRSKtools in PyPI) and MATLAB (RSKtools in Bitbucket) with users from the global ocean community, for reading, post-processing, and visualizing RBR data in SQLite database.- Manage software version control via Git in Bitbucket, generate and update documentation using Sphinx, and deliver online demos and training to customers.- Execute automated tests for multi-projects using Python and MATLAB, by creating test plans, setting up test beds, implementing test scripts, and tracking defects with Jira.- Work with the development team to analyze test results, fix defects and optimize product performance.- Develop a Python package for monitoring and automating quality control for real-time Argo field data and metadata.- Assess the accuracy and stability of various oceanic sensors (conductivity, temperature, pressure, etc.) with statistical techniques such as interpolation, regression, filtering, and Fourier analysis, ensuring world-class sensor performance with a relative accuracy error of 0.01%.- Clean, structure, and enrich millions of data from field trials into consistentformats using Python, MATLAB, and SQL, enhancing data accessibility for both customers and internal use.
