I have worked with children (aged 5-8) who receive funding for Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) funding and children with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I have followed Occupational Therapy Assistant plans to help children achieve their goals related to self-care, leisure, and productivity. I have implemented a range of interventions to help children achieve their goals. For example- I have educated clients on how to use the Alert Program to help them develop emotional regulation techniques.- I have introduced visual timers and schedules to help children attend to the task at hand and transition smoothly between activities.- I have introduced play-doh hand warm-up activities to help develop a child's hand strength.I have assisted with facilitating group programs such as 'Get Crafty', 'Social Butterflies', and 'Lego Group'. I have completed reports for clients to document their participation in the group, their progress, and their achievements.I have had opportunities to administer the BOT-2 assessment with supervision and assisted with result interpretation and report writing.

I have worked with adults (25-60) with ranging diagnoses including, clients with an acquired brain injury, stroke survivors, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and bipolar disorder.I support clients with all aspects of self-care, leisure, and productivity. For example- toileting, showering and grooming- meal preparation- writing shopping lists and using a computer- transfers via a standing hoist to and from wheelchairs, arm chairs, toilets, and commodes- domestic tasks such as house cleaning and laundry
