Vc-25B Air Vehicle Electrical Systems Design Engineer
CurrentSupporting Military Commercial Derivative program by providing electrical design support for Electrical Power Systems, Hydraulics, systems, Mechanical systems, Fuel systems, and Avionics systems. Perform reviews of functional schematics and wire diagrams to ensure compliance to applicable design and safety requirements.Support requirements and definition and validation activities by providing technical and certification expert support during System Requirement Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and other applicable design development process milestones, include those related to product and system integration (Concept Layout & Assembly Layout).Lead FAA certification compliance strategy for VC-25B Electrical Power Systems Military Commercial Derivative Airplane modification by coordinating with systems technical leads and designers, certification specialist, Boeing leadership, Boeing Regulatory Administrators, and FAA Military Certification Office. Write FAA certification and conformity plans to support Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Part 25 compliance and safety requirements. Support FAA Issue Paper proposals development, including cert basis development FAA issue paper.Lead certification discussions with U.S. Government customers (White House Program Office & Air Force) and supplier contracted by the government to resolve design requirements, and develop statement of work and design requirements that support FAA certification requirements.As an FAA Electrical System E-UM, review technical data such as certification test plans, conformity plans, analysis, safety assessments, and other applicable compliance showings. Provide FAA test witnessing of certification testing.Provide coaching and development mentoring for early career engineers via guidance, sharing lessons learned, and exposure to engineering opportunities internal and external to the Air Vehicle EE Subsystem team.
