As assistant manager I am responsible for opening or closing the store, file daily and weekly paperwork as well as check in inventory. We are constantly getting new merchandise so getting it into the system and putting it out quickly is a skill I utilize. We also have monthly POV changes where we move the displays according to the company directed floor plans in order to properly showcase our merch.I am tasked with being both salesman and coach for the other associates, working towards monthly standards for the store as a whole.

I am one of the main shift leads, often working night shifts and closing out the store with another closing manager. I have keys to open the store bank and work the registers to handle returns or post sale voids. I also key in invoices when vendors bring in deliveries, stock the shelves and work on the general cleanliness of the store.As an ABC employee it is suggested that one promotes Direct To You items ( Brands that are exclusive to ABC stores) and I am constantly a lead salesman each month for my store.

I was a part of the Holiday 'Super Crew' manning the register during the busy hours, helping with display arrangements and general store clean up

I worked with their stock teams and helped set up shelving of companies that are clients of Acosta in grocery stores around the Jacksonville area. I arranged endcap displays and organized entire shelf set ups based on plan-o-grams.

As Co-Manager I was one half of the Managerial team over the store in the Avenues mall. I was there when the Store manager wasn't checking in inventor, filling out paperwork and sending in payroll. I was responsible for a small team of employees ensuing that we coached them to be as successful as possible. During my time there we went from a bottom store to one of the top stores in our region consistently, we even had back to back years of $100k increases.

I was in the front of house, bussing tables delivering food and eventually working behind the counter to ring up orders. This was a fast paced job that involved us being attentive to the state of the lobby making sure that customers weren't sitting at a table full of junk, and as a popular lunchtime destination the turn around on the tables kept you going non-stop

In my time there I was the head host, training any newcomers on our Job in the restaurant which was to keep the flow of the traffic smooth and without hiccups. I was also the go between for both the servers and the customers, I often helped bus tables or delivered food to tables in order to keep the servers caught up so we could see to more guests. And to the customers I was the first line of defense if they were displeased with service. I would attempt to fix the problem without the need for involving the manager.
