In my current position as Senior Operations Specialist and Quality Checker at the Financial Crime Unit of PwC Polska, I have developed my skills with regard to the assessment and management of a range of risk types, the development as well as improvement of quality frameworks for AML/KYC procedures and the onboarding, mentoring and training of analysts in area of financial crime investigations.Apart from my job experience, I am a specialist in the history and politics of international organisations. I have previously worked in the capacity of lecturer, mentor, (managing) editor, researcher and project manager in the last ten years, in Poland and the UK.As a teacher and a research fellow, I have a sizeable track record in higher education, NGOs and advisory/consulting services. I gave lectures to post-graduate students, taught seminars and introductory courses on history and international politics to undergraduates and post-graduates, organised academic events, and managed both individual and larger project and research grants.In 2019, I successfully defended my PhD at the Department of International Politics at the University of Aberystwyth. My excellence in research is demonstrated by the fact that I am an award-winning historian (Arenberg-College of Europe Prize 2019, British International History Group Michael Dockrill PhD Thesis Prize 2020) with academic and media publications in the areas of international politics, history, European studies and human rights.
