This past summer I had the opportunity to intern at First Brokers Securities for 12 weeks. Over the 3 months I was able to experience trading first hand while also applying the skills and education I've learned over the past few years to real life situations.

I started up my own business the summer after my sophomore year in hopes of learning valuable lessons not only in management but also thought this would be a good experience overall for me. The business involved me going to households and collecting junk or items that were no longer needed. I would sell these items and pay the owners while collecting a piece of the profit. I created multiple spreadsheets and even a website to help run things as efficiently as possible.

As a camp counselor at Belle Haven I had the job of watching over campers from the ages of 7-8 years old. I was able to learn a great amount of responsibility as I had to know where all campers were at all times and had to make sure I had all of my 14 kids engaged as much as possible in whatever activity we had planned for the day. This experience taught me to be much more aware while on the job and to be able to adapt to new situations because you never know what a young kid will do or say.

Bruce Park Sports is a sporting goods store that sells retail and also does sports team equipment. As floor manager I would generally help out and interact with the customers as well as rearrange the store so that it would appeal to people.-Worked full-time when not in school, and worked overtime whenever needed, doing this helped me earn a raise-Managed online sales for mostly sports team orders, this took a lot of pressure off of other workers and made things efficient-Interacted with customers and had to learn how make sales so customers would buy products, this helped make profits for the store

As a volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club not only did I make relationships with kids and watch over them but I also had to communicate with my fellow employees and work with them. As my first real time being employed even as a volunteer, the experience greatly helped me with many skills.-Was asked to become an employee because of my exceptional work around the kids-ended up working overtime to take care of kids that I formed bonds with-learned the qualities and commitment needed for a job and was able to experience this for the first time.
