As a childcare provider, responsibilities revolve around caring for and supporting the well-being of each child(ren) whilst supporting and working alongside parents. Some but not limited responsibilities include:- Ensuring the safety, comfort and happiness of each child(ren) and attending to each basic need(s) via offering both physical and emotional support and being attentive to each child(ren)- Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment- Organizing age-appropriate and stimulating activities that promote each child(ren)'s developmental stage(s)- Taking each child(ren) to and from school, extracurricular activities, educational field trips, social functions, etc.- Planning and preparing nutritious snacks and meals for each child(ren) whilst considering dietary restrictions/allergies- Providing aid and support with homework and/or school assignments- Establishing and maintaining the routines of each child(ren)- Maintaining a neat and organized home as well as cleaning each child(ren)'s laundry- Maintaining a strong and communicative relationship with each parent whilst working as a team to raise each child(ren)- Being prepared to handle minor injuries and informed on how to respond in emergency situationsIt's important to note that specific responsibilities depend on each parent and child(ren)'s needs and the age of each child(ren) in whom I’m providing care for.

I completed a history-focused internship at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden focusing on the development of an annotated bibliography and the organization of digital records. The summer-long experience taught me new analytical skills as well as how to work and succeed within an important local historical and cultural organization.
