I currently am getting my MSc in psychology where I am studying topics such as cognitive neuroscience, education, art, creativity, communication, mental health, and consciousness. I am also working part-time as an Art Group facilitator for 12-17-year-olds focusing on using art to improve mental health and well-being, with the mental health charity Mind. I also volunteer as a peer support mentor.I am an independent artist and writer. This space is ideal for students, freelancers, label start-ups, or hobbyists and provides you with your own 1.5 meter table space and storage as well as your own industrial sewing machine and access to industrial pressing equipment. But more importantly, it is an opportunity to join a collective and work alongside and learn from 10 individuals with diverse skill sets. Members of the collective will also have the opportunity to participate in or run learning events and short courses. The studio’s open plan also lends itself to hosting networking events, catwalk/salon shows, and product launches. Being based in Hackney Downs Studios you will benefit from being part of a larger creative community consisting of record labels, florists, filmmakers to architects, 3D printers, and cabinet makers.
