Working with the National Mortgage Database Branch, I helped develop the 2020 and 2022 mailings of the American Survey of Mortgage Borrowers (ASMB) to provide timely data to policymakers about the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on homeowners. I also steward the ongoing National Survey of Mortgage Originations (NSMO) which monitors the experiences of borrowers as they obtain new mortgage loans. I have written technical documentation, data analyses, and press releases regarding both data sets. I have also written and executed SAS code to process and clean both sets of data to make them usable for researchers.

As an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Ethan Kaplan, I was responsible for keeping track of data used in his research. My coworkers and I turned scans of data into Excel files, and then into STATA files Dr. Kaplan uses to conduct his research. I have written do-files to help Dr. Kaplan analyze the data and researched new sources of data to be included in his studies.

I worked the Welcome Desk and the Circulation Desk at the university's primary library, McKeldin. I was responsible for finding books placed on hold, checking out or returning books for students, and confirming that late-night entrants to the library had an acceptable form of university ID.

As an intern for the Maryland General Assembly, I wrote letters on Delegate Dana Stein's behalf, researched relevant information for the passage of the Delegate's bills, and answered phone calls for the Delegate.

As Site Supervisor, I was responsible for running one branch of the JFD summer program. I took attendance, monitored ongoing lessons, dealt with parent concerns, and recruited more swimmers to the program. I was also responsible for the coaches who work under me, signing their time sheets and helping them arrange substitute instructors as needed.

As a swim lessons instructor, I was responsible for teaching children between the ages of four and seven the basics of competitive swimming. More recently, I served as a mentor for younger coaches to demonstrate teaching and crowd-control techniques.

As a math mentor with America Counts, I visited an elementary school in the Prince George's County public school system twice a week to visit with three mentees for three hours. These mentees had been selected because they were performing below grade level standards in mathematics. We spent our time together fostering mathematical understanding by working on their homework and playing math-based games.

Poolesville High School

I founded and led Poolesville High School's Gay-Straight Alliance for three years. During this time, my group organized events such as the Day of Silence to raise awareness about LGBT+ issues and I led discussions with the group about current events affecting the LGBT+ community.
