I practice law based in Delhi for almost 35 years and specialize in criminal law.As an independent advocate I took-up criminal prosecutions at various stages of remand, bail, charge, trial and appeal involving offences under the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and special laws including the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act.I defended not only accused but also conducted prosecutions in complaint cases on behalf of victims of custodial violence and assisted the State in cases instituted upon police reports.In the year 2000, I began writing on law and authored/revised books on criminal law, prepared reports for reputed NGOs and wrote several legal research papers.
