With a biomedical and mechanical engineering background, I am passionate about developing innovative solutions for complex problems. I have experience in the oil & gas, automotive, cardiovascular, and orthopedic medical device industries, where I have applied my skills to design and develop various products and prototypes. I am also a graduate of the Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership, Y Combinator Start Up School, and the UC Berkeley School of Law's Form + Fund program, where I have been trained in business law and the fundamentals of Technology leadership.As a Principal at Medical Device Development, I have co-founded and incubated multiple novel orthopedic technologies.As Director of The Taylor Collaboration, I lead a team of researchers, educators, manufacturers, regulators, and practitioners dedicated to advancing the field of orthopedic surgery and improving patient outcomes. I also serve as the Director of Research for the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency Program at UCSF St. Mary's Hospital (previously St. Mary's Medical Center), where I mentor the next generation of orthopedic surgeons in orthopedic research, basic manual skills, and the application of biomechanical principles.My career and perspectives are shaped by the challenges I have overcome and the opportunities I have been provided. I draw from my faith, experiences, successes, and failures to develop unique approaches to problem-solving.
