Roger A. Smith, Esq. is a Consultant at KLDiscovery and a member of the Advisory Services team. Roger has over 20 years of experience in developing eDiscovery solutions and is an expert in eDiscovery process flow and technology. Prior to joining KLDiscovery, Roger was Chief Information Officer for Strategic Legal Solutions as well as Managing Director of eDiscovery Services. Roger spent over five years at Strategic and was originally tasked with building Strategic’s eDiscovery division from the ground up. He is largely responsible for designing and implementing the eDiscovery workflows, infrastructure and technology that efficiently supported Strategic’s eDiscovery clients, which included many fortune 500 companies and 100 AmLaw firms.In his current role at KLDiscovery, he supports the Advisory Services Team in helping law firms and corporations design and implement information governance programs in order to minimize cost and risk, while maximizing value across their entire records management, regulatory compliance, eDiscovery, and storage management portfolios. With degrees in law and risk management, he has a deep understanding of challenges faced by clients and helps to not only build technology-driven solutions, but bridge the knowledge gap between technology and legal departments.
