I am a Senior Physiotherapist based in Singapore utilising structured Physiotherapy interventions, Mindfulness techniques and Clinical Pilates to help promote wellbeing and optimal health by facilitating changes in the body and by training the mind through neuroplasticity. I embrace a holistic mind-body view to my practice, primarily using an evidence based, hands-on clinical approach that is integrated within a biopsychosocial framework. This is supplemented with techniques from Clinical Pilates, Mindfulness, Dry Needling, Therapeutic Neuroscience Pain Education and Functional Rehabilitation. I am passionate about treating the cause and not just the symptoms, educating the individual during the process, empowering them to manage their injury and prevent further injury in the long term.My specialties are in pre and post-natal rehabilitation, women’s health, scoliosis and in treating complex chronic pain, particularly, spine disorders and neck/shoulder pain. My chronic pain management repertoire includes Therapeutic Neuroscience Education (pain education), graded motor imagery, Mindfulness for pain (Breathworks, UK) and Mindful movements. For chronic Pain management, I employ the inherent neuroplasticity in us to re-programme and reduce over active danger signals in the brain and nervous system.For organisations big and small, I provide in-house Clinical Pilates, on-site Physiotherapy and workshops on Ergonomics and how to manage and prevent neck and back pain. For remote workers, I provide online Clinical Pilates, Online ergonomics advice, tele health consultations and online Mindfulness for Health classes.Clinically, I am based at The Osteopathic Centre, Nuffield Rehab and REKOOP where I work collaboratively with Medical practitioners, Complementary Medicine Practitioners and Osteopaths. I also work closely with fitness trainers, Pilates instructors, yoga teachers, rehab specialists and the best Spinal and Orthopaedic specialists in Singapore to offer integrated quality of care. I also actively teach group classes in Mindfulness, Clinical Pilates and pre and post-natal Pilates.Clinically, I focus on providing an inclusive and supportive environment for people experiencing pain, chronic illness and disabilities.My drive comes from a deep desire to see people healthy and flourish. My biggest successes come from merging Physiotherapy and movement rehab with mind rehab. It all links beautifully together to provide people with a whole mind-body transformation and something they can use to manage their long-term health in order to flourish.
