About Robert Brady

Robert Brady is an MA candidate in the Curatorial Practices and the Public Sphere program at the University of Southern California, Roski School of Art and Design, graduating in May 2025. He holds a BA in Art History from California State University-Los Angeles.Robert’s curatorial practice revolves around contemporary art while examining lost and forgotten histories of the LGBTQ+ community and its traces in the archive.He made his curatorial debut in 2024 co-curating Our Patch: LGBTQ+ Life from Cradle to Grave for the ONE Institute’s Circa Queer Histories Festival, shown at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Advocate & Gochis Galleries, alongside co-curators Andy Campbell and Jessica Carolina González.Towards the progress of completing his MA program in May 2025, Robert co-curated Steep, Alter, Ritual, his MA Curatorial Practice ‘25 cohort exhibition in November 2024, shown at the USC Roski Graduate Gallery, in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District.Robert is currently writing his thesis on JoJo Baby (b. 1971 - d. 2023), who was a legendary Chicago club-kid, drag artist, performer, and doll maker mentored by Greer Lankton.
