I was responsible for driving sales of the George clothing brand in this fast paced Asda Living store. In the 9 months I worked at the store I led the department from being an under performing department to beating plan and comp on a consistent basis whilst regularly being one of the top stores in the region. I assisted in the development of colleagues and section leaders within the store to aid their progression and help fill the talent pipeline within the business.

I started at the leeds flagship living store completing my training and induction with Asda. I held the positions of GM manager and George manager in this store and developed my overall knowledge of the business in the process. I was selected for the pilot Women in Leadership programme within Asda in 2013.

Managed the Newcastle store through a major refurbishment. Whilst working at Signet I completed a Level 4 Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management. JET1 qualified with all assessments scoring A***

Store manager of 3m turnover store, a Top 25 store in the business.Area talent pool trainer which involved building and delivering a development programme for supervisors and deputy managers who wished to progress their careers whilst providing mentor support to these delegates. I was the second point of call for the area team as area support manager and regularly 'held' the area team in the area managers absence.

Started as a 'Saturday girl' whilst in education and worked my way up the business to supervisor, deputy manager and store manager working mainly in Eastbourne and Kingston. Also held covering/support manager roles in Brent Cross, Richmond, Clapham, Harrow, Brixton, Wimbledon and Wokingham. Worked with John Lewis, Debenhams, HOF, Morleys, Fenwicks and Bentalls. I worked in a position that required me to be responsible and accountable for numerous stores and their results at the same time.I was responsible for the opening of new stores including Kingston, Wimbledon, Brixton and supported with the flagship store on Kings road, London. I was responsible for the recruitment and training of staff, back of house and front of house set ups, merchandising, liaising with suppliers, buyers, merchandisers, shop fitters, engineers etc. and ensuring all stores were fit to trade from day one of opening whilst then continuing to offer support to the stores throughout their operations.
