Managing and overseeing the engineering planning of water and sewer infrastructure with responsibility for planning the maintenance, rehabilitation, renewal and upgrade of the water and sewer network and other infrastructure.

Preparation and scope planning for major site Turnaround, Daily Production reporting (including troubleshooting and investigations into anomalies), improvement project planning and execution, site risk register management

Coordination and conduction of Pre-Start Safety Reviews during 2014 site Turnaround, review and update of process safety related systems and procedures (e.g. emergency and crisis management plans, management of change, incident reporting and investigation), process safety audits, formation of site safety A3 strategy and NAO process safety implementation plan, incident management, education of site personnel through creation and delivery of training (5 Why, Process Safety awareness, risk management), involvement in various risk assessments, tracking and driving improvements in site safety metrics and KPIs, site Zero Harm Council involvement, involvement in company HSE and PSM networks, ownership of site risk - including risk register, conducting risk assessments and bowties, and ensuring linkages between the register and other site processes (modifications, incident reporting etc.).

From January 2014 I worked in process improvement at the company’s Phosphate Hill site. Projects in this role include working in the granulation plant on an Asset Care project (including Set Up Time Reduction and comparing current operating parameters with design parameters); phosphoric acid plant improvement project (evaluating additives or process changes to minimise the amount of product lost).Prior to this my role included reviewing and updating Major Hazard Facility safety cases; answering government queries regarding these reports, and regarding safety and risk levels at company sites; collating and reporting on monthly process safety KPIs; creating and distributing monthly Process Safety Bulletin and running quarterly seminars to educate graduates on process safety; learning and interpreting company, government and external agency published regulations, legislation, standards, procedures and policies; participating in HAZOP, HAZID, risk analyses, LOPA and SIL studies; scheduling and conducting audits and reviews (including coordinating relevant teams to participate).

Responsibilities included reformulating and testing glazes to obtain required properties (colour matching, altered finish, etc.), composing and presenting capital expenditure proposal and result reports, conducting various clay and quality control analyses, new product development incorporating research and work (including testing) into creating ‘cool roof’ tiles, problem solving (on both individual and group bases), writing and reviewing work instructions and safe operating procedures, correspondence with supplying companies and contractors, data entry and database usage, use of various computer programs and software, Lean manufacturing projects (including %s, value mapping and STR).

Responsibilities included reformulating and testing glazes to obtain required properties (colour matching, altered finish, etc.), composing and presenting capital expenditure proposal and result reports, conducting various clay and quality control analyses, new product development incorporating research and work (including testing) into creating ‘cool roof’ tiles, investigating and trouble shooting quality issues in the product and the raw materials, problem solving (both individually and in teams).
