The primary purpose of this position is to perform testing of various cleanroom products to assist Quality, Production, Research and Development, and Marketing in their integrated goal of product improvement through detailed investigation and data collection.• Organizes, verifies completion and accuracy of results of all testing, enters data in IFS or Excel files in computer, and files all batch information.• Routinely performs testing (particle/fiber, extrinsic and intrinsic sorbency, extractables, specific gravity, wick rate, etc.) on material samples and finished goods to monitor production lot quality.• Prepares samples and performs skilled analytical testing such as gas chromatography/mass spec, ion chromatography, and FTIR analysis. This includes preparation of samples, performing the test, and analyzing results.• Prepares samples and performs titration analysis as needed for product release.• Performs air monitoring of cleanroom areas.• Ensures labs’ equipment are maintained and cleaned as necessary.• Performs Quality Control inspections on finished goods.• Periodically calibrates testing equipment (GC, GCMS, etc.), preps chemicals and performs testing, and analyzes the results to troubleshoot any issues with the equipment.• Proof reads work procedures and submits changes to procedures as needed.• Helps with test method development and validation of lab equipment.• Communicates changes and information from Quality Management to other Quality Techs on their shift.• Helps with initial training and retraining on new or revised lab procedures.• Enters Material Review Board (MBR) disposition into IFS and releases product for production.• Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.• Serves as a leader within their shift through critical thinking, decision making, and troubleshooting as necessary.
