Throughout my time at Midway, I helped to rebrand their company as they moved forward into bigger markets. This included, but was not limited to, making internal and external marketing collateral for print, web, and social media, creating marketing budgets and targeting clients, communicating with customers to cultivate relationships, and maintaining an organized file system to keep track of external vendors. I was responsible for creating multiple publications and magazines, brochures, business cards, logos, basic websites, and more. I utilized Adobe Creative Suite to complete most daily tasks and refined my skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I am worked with bitmap and vector imagery and well as large format projects like wall decals and banners.

Throughout college, I have worked very hard as a freelance designer and photographer. Without a studio, I have done countless family and senior portrait sessions. I have also designed posters, invitations, and cards for various customers. To better advertise my work, I am an Etsy and Zazzle artist and have made many sales. More notably however, I am a published and purchased Shutterstock Photographer. In July of 2015 my portfolio was accepted and published on the Shutterstock Domain and since then, I have been allowed the opportunity and privilege to sell my work globally.

I work directly with the owner of Graphic Magic to create advertisements, design web pages, and handle product photography for an Ebay selling site. I have also reworked logos, business cards, and envelope designs for the company. I work with the Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver to create pieces. My main daily responsibilities include: working as part of a team photographing parts, editing the photos, and uploading the products onto online selling sites such as Ebay or Amazon.

As a Student Graphic Designer, I am responsible for a wide variety of projects ranging from creating digital displays, posters, flyers, and website announcements, to taking photographs and for and designing the University's Christmas mail. A large part of my job is creating and updating informational designs for various on-campus events. The use of copy writing combined with attention grabbing artwork and photography is what makes my job interesting. In this position, I utilize InDesign heavily and combine the uses of Photoshop and Illustrator to supplement InDesign where it lacks in actually creating or editing artwork.

I began at Bed Bath & Beyond as a cashier where I learned the basic of customer relations and money handling. I then moved to customer service where I handled minor complaints and issues as well as assisted customers with their everyday needs. Next, I began working on the sales floor as a Softlines expert. I learned about the products relating to bedding and bath and helped customers make informed and fitting purchases. As my knowledge in Softlines grew, I became bridal trained to escort newly engaged couples throughout the entire store to register for gifts to begin the married lives with. In between all of this, I began as the Shrink and Safety Captain for my store. This means, I was in charge of managing weekly store cycle counts and monthly security checks. Furthermore, I was in charge of educating my fellow employees on monthly safety topics and making sure that correct store safety procedures were being adhered to. Lastly, in my security checks, I was responsible for monitoring high theft items and teaching employees how to better combat theft through excellent customer service.

What began as a self-found internship at Northstar Photography and Design quickly blossomed into an amazing professional opportunity. I was awarded the task of editing and retouching senior, wedding, family, and newborn photo sessions. I also assisted with advertising design for the web and for print. Furthermore, I used my basic knowledge of HTML and CSS combined with a little research to help update the company website to better represent the personality of Northstar.
