As a member of the executive team at Fetch Rewards; I've led teams responsible for legal/compliance, talent acquisition, HR, learning & development, employee connectivity, DEIBA, wellness, social impact, IT, and workplace operations, including real estate.I was hired as Fetch's first attorney and General Counsel; in ~2 years in this role, I established a legal department from scratch, with a commercially minded, pragmatic approach to ensuring Fetch was protected while remaining easy to do business with. We ran a lean legal department, turning contracts in an average of less than one day, while partnering with tech, product, and marketing team to manage privacy and compliance risk. I continue to support legal with privacy and transactional guidance.Some of the most exciting things we've accomplished on the people side include:- Creating a comprehensive, inclusive benefits program from scratch, focused on low-cost and flexible coverage for our employees;- Built a lean, low-touch and consistent performance-management program, including compensation, promotion progress, and a company-wide option-refresher program designed to reward high-performers who contribute to Fetch's culture;- Expanded parental leave and introduced Leave Concierge, with personalized guidance from announcement of leave through return;- Built out three beautiful offices with thoughtful design principles to support every kind of worker and every kind of work;- Crafted a highly personalized, pragmatic, and low-bureaucracy HR/People Ops function our employees love;- Built an inclusive DEIBA program with seven ERGs, each with exec sponsors and their own budgets, providing meaningful development opportunity for ERG leaders and participants;- Built a cohort-based leadership-development program, with 1:1 leadership coaching and 360* feedback.

Led a team supporting TransUnion's global credit solutions, fraud solutions, and operations. Provided strategic input into the direction of our consumer-reporting, alternative-data, and fraud-prevention businesses, including all aspects of data acquisition (FCRA furnished and third-party licensed); analytics; model development (including ML/AI); alternative-data acquisition and product development; the negotiation of commercial contracts (with customers in 60+ countries), and day-to-day support of multiple separate business entities, domestic and international, including two FCRA Consumer Reporting Agencies.

Previously, I supported the TransUnion Consumer Interactive (B2C and B2B2C) business, supporting our largest customers. I partnered with the business to craft strategically significant deals with customers, vendors, and partners, including top-tier financial institutions, startups, alternative lenders, and other entities. I played a crucial role in the development of critical new products and services, including an alternative data credit-scoring model and a fraud data consortium. I was primarily responsible for reviews of proposed new and enhanced financial-services products. I've provided M&A support during due diligence for four successful acquisitions, and a number of strategic investments. I also provided primary support for TransUnion's strategic market development/financial services business development vertical, which included auto, mortgage, card, research, and other business units. I operate within the framework of regulations applicable to TransUnion's and our affiliates' and partners' lines of business, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), Driver's Privacy and Protection Act(s) (DPPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), State data-breach notification and biometric-information-privacy laws, and other regulations.

We sold high-end personalized gifts on porcelain, china, and wood to individuals through our website http://www.glazeware.com and other high-end retailers like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Brooks Brothers. We also sold wholesale gifts to universities, government entities, charities, and other organizations. In spring 2019, we sold Glazeware to its new owners.

As a founding co-chair of this new CBA YLS committee, I assisted in organizing CLE seminars, liaised with CBA staff and members, and coordinated communication and training materials regarding corporate compliance for in-house attorneys and outside counsel.

I provided commercial litigation, insurance-coverage litigation, and general legal services for large international insurers and other large business clients at this boutique firm.

I broadened my experience in litigation-related services to clients of the Firm with responsibilities including arguing motions in court (including Cook County Circuit Court); drafting motions, pleadings, and interrogatories; building strong relationships with clients; communicating with opposing counsel, third-party counsel, and clients, often independently and without partner oversight; and forming trial strategy with partners, associates, and clients. I liaised among attorneys, support staff, and outside parties including lead/opposing counsel and expert witnesses. I also drafted training materials on business development with emphasis on ethical and practical concerns.

I focused on general litigation matters and intellectual property litigation in the areas of false advertising, trademark & copyright, and patent infringement law. I participated in all stages of pre-trial preparation, including drafting pleadings; including strategy discussions, and communicated directly with partners and clients.
