Take frequent vitals on critical patients. Communicate any abnormal information and/or observations to the RNs. Submit MD orders into the computer system. Trained for blood draw by facility. Certified telemetry technician. Secretariat duties in ICU include finding rehabilitation placement for patients, any documents/memos which need to be created for communication to all ICU employees, order department supplies, and stock unit supplies in rooms and nurses station.
